Which fruits are allowed on the Tayyibat diet, and how to eat them
Apple, pear, guava, mango, banana, fig and pomegranate are yes, and each one is Dr. Al-Awadi's own ruling. Three come with a condition: peel the apple, take the seeds out of the guava, strain the mango into juice. Pineapple and prickly pear are no, by his rules. He never ruled on them directly.

The yes fruits with no condition
Four fruits are a plain yes. Banana, fig and pomegranate are his own rulings, and the food list gives no preparation for any of them. Pear is the same: his own ruling, a yes, and the food list names no condition for it.
No preparation rule to follow. These are the easy ones.
The three yes fruits with a condition
Apple: peel it first. His own ruling, and the food list is plain about it: peeled. The system leaves the skin behind.
Guava: take the seeds out. His own ruling. The rule behind the condition is hard seeds and rough fibre, which the system keeps out of the meal.
Mango: as juice, strained. His own ruling. The food list gives the yes for mango juiced with the pulp strained out, so the long stringy fibres stay behind. The strained juice is the form to follow.
The fruits that look safe and are not
Pineapple is a no. It follows from his rules, he never ruled on it directly. The rule is the enzyme: pineapple carries one strong enough to be sold as a meat tenderiser, and papaya and kiwi are out for exactly that reason.
Prickly pear is a no, and again it follows from his rules. Hard seeds and rough fibre are the rule, the same one that keeps kiwi and raw carrot out.
Grapefruit is a no by his rules too. It is citrus, and the rule for citrus is too acidic. The citrus article explains it.

Melon is out, for a different reason
Watermelon and cantaloupe are both his own rulings, both no. The rule is too much water, not sugar. Every other melon follows from that rule. The full story is in the melon article.
If another fruit list disagrees
A fruit list copied from somewhere else can say yes to pineapple or prickly pear. This site does not follow it. It gives what the book and its food list give, and there both are no, by his rules. When you are unsure about a fruit, look it up in the food list before you buy it.
Where this site draws the line
This is a list of what the system allows. It says nothing about what a fruit does to a body. If you have a health condition or take medicine, talk to your doctor before changing anything.

Do I have to peel apples on the Tayyibat diet?
Yes. The food list says peeled, because the system leaves the skin behind. It is his own ruling.
How do I eat mango on the Tayyibat diet?
As juice with the pulp strained out. The food list gives the yes in that form, his own ruling, so the long stringy fibres stay behind.
Why is pineapple off the Tayyibat diet?
It follows from his rules, he never ruled on it directly. Pineapple carries an enzyme strong enough to be sold as a meat tenderiser, and papaya and kiwi are out for the same reason.
Why is prickly pear a no when other fruit lists say it is fine?
The food list says no, by his rules, not a ruling he gave directly. Hard seeds and rough fibre are the reason, the same one that keeps kiwi and raw carrot out. This site follows the book's food list.
