Why is milk off the Tayyibat diet?
Dr. Al-Awadi excluded fresh milk. It is one of his own rulings. Aged cheese, though, is allowed.

Why he excluded milk
The objection is about digestion.
Here's what nobody told you: most adults stop making the enzyme needed to digest milk sugar. And milk's protein sets into a thick curd your stomach struggles to break down.
In the book's own words:
Both arrive intact. Casein clots into a dense curd that is slow work for adult digestion, and most adults stop producing the lactase needed to break down lactose. The book's own words · Food list · Milk
So why is cheese allowed?
Because time does the digesting. The system keeps only dairy that ageing has already broken down. Aged cheese stays. Milk and yoghurt don't. Yoghurt is still fresh dairy, so it goes too.
In practice
- Leave out milk and yoghurt.
- Keep aged cheese. The system treats time as the thing that makes dairy easier to digest.
- For drinks, the system's four-week transition plan swaps dairy for black or Turkish coffee and herbal teas.
People also ask
Is boiled milk allowed?
No. Boiling does not remove the milk sugar or change the milk protein. What makes dairy digestible in this system is ageing, not heat.
Is camel milk or goat milk allowed?
Goat milk is a no, following from his rules on fresh dairy. He did not rule on camel milk by name.
Is tea with milk allowed?
No, because of the milk. Tea itself is on the yes list. Take it plain.
What replaces yoghurt?
Tahini, in the book's own words. Aged cheese where you used fresh cheese, olive oil where you used cream.
