Is rhubarb allowed on the Tayyibat diet?

No

No, by his rules. He never ruled on this food directly. The verdict follows from his rules.

Why rhubarb is off the list

It grabs the calcium in your food so your body can't absorb it. The crystals it forms are the same ones kidney stones are made of. Spinach and molokhia are out for the same reason.

The detail

Oxalates bind calcium tightly, blocking its absorption and forming the crystals behind kidney stones, which is why spinach and molokhia are excluded.

The rule behind the verdict
