Tayyibat Code

Food list › Vegetables

Is bell pepper allowed on the Tayyibat diet?

No

No. Dr. Al-Awadi excluded this food himself.

Why bell pepper is off the list

It's a nightshade. Its seeds and skin carry natural chemicals called alkaloids. That's why bell peppers and raw tomato are out, and tomato only comes back peeled, seeded and cooked.

The detail

Solanine-family alkaloids, concentrated in seeds and skin. Bell peppers and raw tomato are excluded; peeled, seeded, cooked tomato is the rare exception.
