Why many do not accept it
Documented reasons the death is still questioned.
He predicted it himself. A video circulated in which he says that if he died, he would certainly have been killed.
Reported by Middle East OnlineA Public Prosecutor ordered a second autopsy. Prosecutors do not exhume bodies over settled cases. The order came at the family's request.

Al-Araby · MasrawyThe timing. A 47-year-old doctor dies six weeks after being stripped of his profession, in a hotel room in another country.
UncontestedHe was costing somebody money. He told a million people to stop buying processed food and to reduce medication where they safely could. Egg prices in Egypt moved. His supporters argue that is motive.

Why the authorities say otherwise
What the official record and its critics hold.
Two governments reached the same conclusion. The UAE medical report found a sudden cardiac clot with no criminal suspicion; Egypt's Foreign Ministry reviewed the file and said the same.
CNN Arabic · Youm7 · 21 April 2026A specific medical cause was named — an acute clot in the left anterior coronary artery — not an open finding.
Forensic report as reported by Egyptian outletsLeak, not official
RT Arabic · Masr Times — reporting a leak
Egyptian outlets publishing what they describe as the forensic report state that alcohol was present at the time of death and traces of cannabis were found in a urine sample. This has not been officially confirmed, this book has not seen the report, and his supporters hold that it was published to discredit him. It is included because it exists and you would find it anyway.Egypt's health authorities issued a public warning against following the diet, and accounts from people describing harm have circulated alongside those describing benefit.
RT Arabic · HespressNo evidence of foul play has ever been produced by anyone, and no court in any country has ruled on the death.

What this book concludes
Nothing. That is deliberate.
The forensic results from the second autopsy have not been published in full. Until they are, anyone telling you with certainty that he was murdered, and anyone telling you with certainty that the matter is closed, is telling you something they cannot know.
What can be said is this: the family did not accept the first answer, a Public Prosecutor agreed the question was open enough to exhume a body, and the investigation has not been reported as concluded. Those are facts, and they belong to you as much as to anyone.
You are capable of weighing this yourself. That is the whole reason this page lists the other side as carefully as it lists his.
The system is separate from the mystery.
Whatever happened in Dubai, the method he left behind stands or falls on its own evidence — and that is what the rest of the book is: 576 foods, each with a verdict, the chemistry behind each one, what the research supports, what it disputes, and the safety chapter he never wrote.
